It's important to note that you must tell the monitoring company that you are working on your alarm if you plan to do so. This is so false alarms can be avoided where possible. The emergency services are all very busy they certainly do not enjoy false alarms. This is why the security companies will try to find out whether the alarm is true or false before dispatching any other services. In lots of states if you continually bother the police with false alarms you will be expected to pay fines. Even worse the emergency companies may decide that every alarm from your home is false and never bother dispatching.
