I love sports equipment since I am young. I like the smell of a new baseball mitt, how a new bat feels, and the stiffness of a new pair of soccer cleats. It doesn't matter which sport really. I like outdoor sporting equipment, hockey equipment - I have tried a lot of sports, and I like them all. There is nothing nicer than new gear and a good match between friends. Most people fit into one of two categories regarding playing sports. Either they are good at sports or they're not attracted to sports. There are few people who are good at sports but not attracted to them, and few people who are interested in sports but not good at them. I bucked the flow. I like sport equipment because I like sports, But I have never been better than mediocre at a single one. I took martial arts classes as a kid, but could never get to black belt. I was in little league baseball, but I spent a lot of the time on the bench. It doesn't matter. I like collecting the sports equipment, to watch the games, and perhaps even getting a chance to play. These days, I don't play sports games as often as I would like to. A lot of my sports equipment is resting on outdoor shelving in my garage, collecting dust. Nonetheless, I still get to use some of the equipment sports every now and then. The outdoor sports equipment, in particular, was getting use this summer. The weather has been wonderful, and it was hard to remain inside any more than I need to. I did a lot of mountain biking, hiking, and I even had a chance to play a friendly game of soccer. It was nice to take out the old sports equipment and try it on again. I always have to take a friend with me when I go to the equipment sports store. You see, my love of sports equipment makes it really hard for me to hold back my wallet. I come up with all kinds of different reasons for buying improbable gear. For example, even though I don't go jogging, I bought a new sports radio the other day. I almost had to buy some hiking shoes that I liked even though my old ones are still in a very goos shape. Having a friend with me is the only way to avoid making mistakes with my purchases.
