Fun in the sun with inflatable slides

We all love to have a good party, there is nothing different when it comes to kids, in fact, and they love parties even more. Only the types of parties they love do not involve, alcohol, loud music and dark dance floors. But the most fun a child will have is on his or her birthday. They have loads of fun because there are loads of other kids to play with, if you planned the party properly, there should be other kids at his or her party. Cake, sweets, potato chips and orange soda, that is the ideal party, and it kind of cost nothing these day to put on a child’s party. So why not add a few other things into the mix, make the day more fun for them, cause we all know with the world as it is today we can’t really go out with a bunch of kids without needing to have about one hundred eyes looking after them.

    Kids fun at parties

We all love to have a good party, there is nothing different when it comes to kids, in fact, and they love parties even more. Only the types of parties they love do not involve, alcohol, loud music and dark dance floors. Children have the best types of parties, the type of parties that will remind you of your youth, the types of parties where innocence is still alive and the type of parties we, as adults, wish that we could still have. Just without the cake and other sweet things that will, once you are all grown up, all go to your waist or gut, even your bum. So, things do change, and we have to change with them, but there is no reason to not give your kids the party that all kids, young and old, dream of.
  • Get Better Sleep After Baby Is Born - Use a Co-Sleeper  By : Aruni Gunasegaram
I know that people have strong opinions about co-sleeping but we found a happy medium. I strongly recommend using a co-sleeper that attaches/sits next to your bed for several months after baby is born. We used the Arm’s Reach Original Co-sleeper with both of our children. With our son we placed it right next to our bed. First on my husband’s side because I was recovering from a c-section so when he was hungry my husband would give him to me so I could breastfeed him.
  • 7 Tips for Successful Breastfeeding  By : Aruni Gunasegaram
My now 5 ½ year old son was born by emergency c-section making my post birth recovery time challenging because a) I was exhausted, b) he didn’t seem to sleep very much and c) I developed a breast infection. Now a) and b) are par for the course when having a baby but c) knocked me senseless. I didn’t want to take any more medication given that I had just come off of several after the c-section so I waited to see if the pain would go away.

  • 5 Potty Training Tips That Will Make You Smile  By : Aruni Gunasegaram
My kids are now 5 ½ and 3 years old and fortunately the potty training gods smiled on us because both were day-time trained around 2 ½ years of age. Thankfully, our oldest (a boy) was trained about 2 months before our daughter was born. He wore Pull-Ups at night until he was 4 but our daughter quit wearing pull ups when she was about 2 years and 9 months old. Ah, it’s so nice not to have buy diapers or Pull-Ups anymore!
  • 5 Parenting Trends That Affect How We Communicate About Childcare  By : Aruni Gunasegaram
The more things change the more they stay the same. We have all heard that saying, but what we sometimes don’t realize is that even though things stay the same, the ways we go about doing those same things change. For instance, 100 years ago when we needed to get to work most people would walk, ride a horse, take a train, or take a trolley to get there. Now we still need to get to work but most of us drive a car or take a subway.
  • Appearance of Milk-Teeth  By : Kim and Charles Petty.
The first set of teeth, or milk-teeth as they are called, are twenty in number; they usually appear in pairs, and those of the lower jaw generally precede the corresponding ones of the upper. The first of the milk-teeth is generally cut about the sixth or seventh month, and the last of the set at various periods from the twentieth to the thirtieth months. Thus the whole period occupied by the first dentition may be estimated at from a year and a half to two years. The process varies, however, in different individuals, both as to its whole duration, and as to the periods and order in which the teeth make their appearance. It is unnecessary, however, to add more upon this point.

  • Do You Spend Quality Time With Your Children  By : Amy Nutt.
Sometimes we have a tendency to get so wrapped up in our busy schedules that we do forget about quality time with our children. This isn't referring to time in the car taking the kids to school or dance practice. This refers to good old quality time between a parent and their child. This may seem difficult when a lot of parents are working two jobs, going to school to further their education, or even taking care of sick family members. It may seem impossible to find the time to do interactive things such as playing games, practicing flash cards, doing crafts, and other activities that are important to a child's development.
  • Why Your Children Don't Tell You and What To Do About It  By : Jerry McMullin
Parents are now confronted by a sophisticated child predator subculture that has developed effective methods of reducing the likelihood that victims will report the crimes perpetrated against them. Street smart parents will take steps to protect their children by establishing family rules that limit the amount of private access others, including extended family, friends, and neighbors, have with them. Such rules do not require that anyone be accused or even suspected, yet the children will be safer.

  • On Home Schooling  By : Joseph N. Abraham, M.D.
More and more parents are turning to home schooling as an alternative to traditional education. Doubtless, this makes sense. Our homes are where we learn most of what life requires of us; and no teacher can do as much for a student as a parent does by talking, reading, and otherwise instructing a child. Home schooling extends this, and does so quite effectively: in fewer hours per day, home-schooled children frequently cover more material than students in traditional schools.
